Mission and Vision
Mission Statement
To enhance the well being of children and their families by providing traditional and innovative programs that will assure them the best opportunity to realize their potential as human beings.
Values
We believe in the motivating spirit of the agency founders which has been the tender concern for children deprived of the family security and appropriate role models that are so absolutely vital to them.
We believe that agency resources must be used efficiently and effectively to reach out to children and their families who face a troubled future in our community in order to give them a sense of self-worth, belonging, and hope.
We believe our staff and volunteers (Big Brothers, Big Sisters, foster parents, Sisters-In-Support, adoptive parents) encompass the heart of our mission and should be given the best possible work environment and support so as to provide quality services to our clients.
We see all clients as individuals, each having a special need and requiring our understanding of the conditions and family situation that brought him or her to our doors. Whatever the needs and problems, it becomes a part of the understanding we have of the person before us.
We will pursue policies that are in the best interest of children, charging ourselves with the responsibility of providing them with the very best opportunity our resources will allow so as to positively change their lives.
We will hold ourselves accountable to our constituencies.
