Families Waiting to Adopt
Clayton and Michelle
Dear Birth Family,
Even though we do not know who you are or what circumstances have led you to be reading our profile, our family began praying for you over two years ago. We cannot begin to imagine what you are going through as you make an adoption plan for your child. We admire your strength and courage as you make these difficult decisions. We are excited at the possibility of developing a relationship with you through adoption. Hopefully, this profile will give you a sense of who our family is.
Clayton and I have been married for over 5 years now. Both of our parents recently celebrated their 30th anniversaries so marriage is very important to us. We are committed to a lifetime of loving and learning with one another and hope to instill this sense of commitment within our children as well. Both Clayton and I are close with our families and our relationships with them are important to us.
We have a 3 year old son, Noah who amazes us daily as we watch him learn and grow. We love our role as parents and the joy that Noah brings into our lives. Noah loves to take “horsey” rides on Clayton through the house and riding on daddy’s shoulders when we go on walks. He also loves to help me bake and clean and is an expert at taste testing cookies. We end each night by reading books and having prayer time with Noah and he is praying for his new brother or sister.
Clayton and I are active in our church and share a strong faith. As both of our fathers are pastors we have grown up in churches and are committed to our church family. I am the Mission Director at our church and I enjoy organizing drives for various charities as well as volunteering. I recently went to Haiti to volunteer in an orphanage and I hope to be able to do more of this in the future. Clayton co-leads our Sunday School class and also facilitates the churches technology needs. My mother is the teacher of the Sunday School class Noah is in and he loves to go to class to see his friends and grandma. He really enjoys singing the songs he learns in Sunday School and will belt them out for us whenever the mood strikes him.
Clayton works full time and takes his responsibility as our family provider very seriously. I recently quit to my job to be at home with Noah. This has been one of the best decisions in my life. I love being a stay at home mom and spending my days with Noah . We are big on having family time and some of the things we enjoy doing together are camping, traveling, going to the beach, and taking walks or biking. We also love to just stay in and play games or curl up on the couch to watch a movie and eat popcorn.
We are so excited to have more children and feel that God is leading us to do this through adoption. We look forward to any degree of openness in this adoption that you are comfortable with. We want to explain to our child their adoption story and feel that the more information they have about you, their birth family, the better. We would love the opportunity to meet you and learn more about you, as well as answer some of the questions you may have for us.
Thank you for taking the time to look at our profile. We pray God will bless and guide you on this journey.
