Families Waiting to Adopt
Carl and Linda

"Adoption Finalization!"

Dear Birth Family:

We want you to know how appreciative we are that you are considering us as possible adoptive parents. We also understand your concerns about making the best decision for all involved. The following information is meant to acquaint you with us so you can better understand who we are.

Carl and LindaWe both desire to add another child to our family. We tried to have a child for several years, but due to who knows what, we weren’t able to have a biological child and decided to build our family through adoption. We adopted our daughter, Christina, four years ago. She is such a blessing to us. We would like to adopt again and will do everything possible to nurture, care for, and love another child.

We believe the most important part of a person’s life is family. Family provides us the values, beliefs, experiences, which allow us to grow to be stable and productive people. Family provides the emphasis on education, religion and responsibility, which are crucial to the development of a child. Both of us were fortunate to grow up in families that provided these nurturing aspects and would like to share this with a child.

Carl and LindaWe both enjoy spending time with family and friends. Our parents and siblings live close and we are fortunate to spend a great deal of time with them. We have three nieces and a nephew whom we care about dearly and often see. Several couples we socialize with have children and we spend time visiting with them. We now have a daughter that joined our family through adoption that fills us with joy.

Our daily lives, like everyone’s, can be hectic at times. However, we always find time to spend together. We both enjoy going out to dinner and to the movies. Conversation is important to us and we work hard at sharing our daily experiences with one another. This has helped us to strengthen our friendship and our marriage of eight years.

Linda is a Teacher Consultant for an Intermediate School District. This profession has afforded her the opportunity to make a living and work at a place she enjoys. Being with students in a classroom is very rewarding. Helping these young adults develop into solid people is a tremendous reward.

Carl and LindaCarl is an assistant store director at a local grocery store in town. He has worked in the food industry for more than 25 years. Carl enjoys dealing with the public and is very good at it. The work changes everyday. Carl enjoys dealing with all of the customers, the young and the old.

We feel the open adoption process is very important. Carl has a child from an earlier relationship, who he stays in contact with. This is like an open adoption and has worked very well. His mother and Carol have put the wellbeing of this son ahead of their own interests. He is a happy, well-adjusted child.

We want you to be certain that your child will know your love and the love of this decision. You can also be certain that we will stay in contact with you and that you can stay a part of your child’s life. We will love and care for your child with all our hearts.

Regardless of your decision, we wish you the very best. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Linda & Carl
