D.A. Blodgett for Children provides international adoption services in Western Michigan, primarily through Holt International Children’s Services (www.holtinternational.org). Holt International has been facilitating international adoptions for over 45 years and has an excellent reputation. The countries that Holt works with in this program are Bulgaria, China, Guatemala, Haiti, India, Kazakhstan, Korea, Mongolia, Philippines, Thailand, Ukraine and Vietnam.

D.A. Blodgett for Children also works with other reputable agencies that hold licenses to provide international adoption services. As a provider of international adoption services in Western Michigan, D.A. Blodgett provides orientation meetings, education and adoption preparation, family assessments, and assistance with the child’s placement and post-placement supervision. D.A. Blodgett is committed to supporting families throughout the life of the child you adopt. Our Post Adoption Support Services can provide education, counseling, and support to the adoptive parents and the adopted child, as well as to other family members.

Every country has different requirements for international adoption and can change their eligibility requirements at any time. D.A. Blodgett can provide you with a list of updated guidelines for the countries with which Holt International works.

Fees

D.A. Blodgett’s costs vary depending on the number of services provided. You may call and request a fee schedule of our agency’s fees. A schedule of fees for the countries served by Holt International can be viewed online at www.holtinternational.org. We can also provide you with information regarding the government adoption tax credit to help offset your expenses. We strive to keep our fees affordable.
