Agency Looks to Make This Christmas Special for Children in Need
D.A. Blodgett-St. John’s Hopes to Give over 900 Children Christmas Presents

Grand Rapids, Mich. – As the “Black Friday” sales begin, D.A. Blodgett – St. John’s hopes the community will think of the children they serve. The agency will distribute gifts to over 900 of the abused and neglected children living in foster care or residential treatment at St. John’s Home.

Last year, D.A. Blodgett – St. John’s provided 937 children with Christmas gifts thanks to the generosity of individuals, companies, and churches. This year, the agency is hoping to do even more. As “black Friday” sales approach, the 124 year old agency, hopes the community will think of them and children such as Amy. Amy is an 11 year old girl living in residential treatment. She loves all things Harry Potter and would love a Harry Potter Lego set. Executive Director Sharon Loughridge said of the Christmas match program, “These children are the most vulnerable among us and as we each count the many blessings in our lives this holiday season, it is our hope our community will remember to reach out to these little ones.”
