"D.A. Blodgett – St. John’s celebrated in sparkling fashion their 7th Annual Charity Event honoring Mick and Lucy McGraw and Jim Siegel held at Noto’s restaurant on Thursday evening. Guests wore fancy jewels and denim that fit perfectly with the western theme of the event. A Tim McGraw lookalike entertained the crowd and the diamond dig was a crowd pleaser along the ladies in attendance who love diamonds. The diamond dig was sponsored by Siegel Jewelers and each person that participated got a chance to win a ½ ct. loose diamond.

The program featured brief remarks from Sharon Loughridge, D.A. Blodgett – St. John’s executive director who highlighted some of the great work of the 124 year old agency that provides comprehensive services to children and families, including Big Brothers Big Sisters, foster care, adoption, and family support, as well as, residential treatment and emergency shelter care at St. John’s Campus. Tony Gates was the official emcee of the evening and is a longtime member of the organization’s board of directors. Some of the live auction items included a limited edition “Cavalry” signed print by 2010 ArtPrize winner Chris LaPorte and Live Auction of a Culinary Experience for ten with Chef Dirk Hoffius. Kent County String Band provided the music throughout the evening’s activities."
