D.A. Blodgett - St. John's has a full range of services available to adoptive parents and individuals thinking about making an adoption plan for their child. The services that are provided to adoptive parents include free orientation and consultation services. We also provide family assessments and free education classes before children are placed adoptively in the home. The education classes cover topics such as understanding and working with individuals considering adoption for their child, openness in adoption, infertility and raising an adopted child. The adoption worker will help families put together a family profile and picture album, which are reviewed by prospective birth parents as they make their decision to place their child for adoption.
We offer many different adoption programs:
- for children in foster care
- for infant adoption
- for international adoption
- for finding a birth parent or child
